I was working in the Netherlands when I found a similar type of job, but better paid, as a delivery driver. I saw the ad on Facebook and contacted the agency. They gave me a choice between Amazon and DPD. I chose Amazon because I had previous experience working for them in the UK. The next day, they told me that for Amazon it would take three weeks to start, but DPD would be faster. I thought, well, there isn’t much difference between delivering Temu packages and parcels. I arrived at a city where they provided me with a big room for accommodation. I liked it. About 80% of the people a... International parcel “in transit” back to Manchester? Confused about tracking update3h agoI hope someone can help me understand what’s going on with an international RM delivery from Manchester to Italy. Everything seemed fine at first — the tracking showed it leaving Manchester and arriving at a Heathrow Worldwide DC for international dispatch. But then, on 28 November, the status changed and now it says the parcel is “Your item is due to leave Manchester MC to go to Manchester Central DO.”. It looks like it’s going backward and I honestly don’t understand why. Hai anyone experienced something like this? Is there something I can do? I’ve been in the transport game for a few decades now, both as a self-employed courier and a courier business owner. This story is from way back when I was still on the road. I worked at DPD in the UK, and back in the day we were the best of the best. But no matter how good you are as a courier, customers treat you with a whole spectrum of attitudes - from grateful, to confused “What is it?” (… it’s a parcel)", to outright contempt for someone simply doing their job. The total cost was ~₹3.5k and I paid ₹1,459 in advance. It’s been over a month and I still haven’t received anything. Here’s what has happened so far: • Every time I ask for an update, they say “you will get an update in 24–48 hours” • They gave me two AWB numbers • The first AWB has had 0 updates for a week • The second AWB shows the parcel was “picked up” on 2nd Dec but as of today it is Returning to Shipper (RTS) • They still haven’t given me a real delivery timeline • Customer support keeps repeating the same scripted reply At this point I’ve cancelled the order and asked for my refund,... Parcel being returned to sender because “recipient refused to accept” but no delivery was attempted7h agoIm expecting a parcel from abroad and paid a big customs fee for it. It was meant to come today but nobody came to the house. Now I see this in the tracking information, saying that the recipient didn’t accept it. That’s not true at all unless they tried delivery to the wrong house. But they can’t have done because they knew the right address to send the customs charge notification to. How can I fix this? I can’t find a phone number to call. I don’t want it to go back to Germany, will I even get my customs charges back? redelivery of parcel to post office7h agoi requested for my item to be sent to the post office instead of to my address, but i guess it was too late so royal mail said it might be delivered to me today. it wasn't delivered today, and i called support and was told that the parcel actually was not ready, it was an accident with the system, but they must try to deliver it to my address before redelivering it to the post office. surely if they hadn't prepared it for delivery today, it'll be sent straight to my local post office tomorrow, right? Avoid monsters, drop off p...8h agoUnable to set delivery to a collection point8h agoI'm expecting a RM delivery tomorrow at my home and I'm trying to change it so I can collect from a Post Office, but I keep hitting walls trying to do this. I've tried this: * Tracking page at Royal Mail website. When I try to update delivery options and choose "Collect your parcel" I get an error page that is not very informative ("Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later"). I've tried different browsers / incognito mode / etc but the error keeps showing. * When I use the Android app I get to the point where a map is shown. However this map is showing the area where I am right now, instead of the area around my home, so I'm not shown a... Help, advice needed!8h agoWhat on earth do I do? Both ordered from China and sender only listed as the name of the Chinese logistics company, so don't actually know the name of the sender of either of these (lots of small packages ordered in time for Christmas!). Did have a customer service rep emailing me daily regarding the status of one of them and when they said they'd get the local sorting office manager to do a sweep looking for it which could take up to 48 hours, but since then it's been a week and I haven't heard any more from that person. But then it kept happening. And not small stuff either. She opened a box with clothes I ordered. She opened my skincare delivery. She even opened a replacement card my bank sent. Like???
