Was waiting for a parcel last week. I am used to getting the 'we missed you card' as half the time they never bother to ring the bell. They have the card ready, drop it in the mailbox and are on their merry way. I am fine with this, gave up fighting this ages ago. This time they didnt even bother to show up. The app mentions "delivery location closed" on the day it was out for delivery. Next day it was again out for delivery and I lodged a complaint saying this is a home and we cannot be closed, please make your staff try and deliver items. Then the item got lost. I got a notice that my eBay item was delivered. I am working from home so I checked my front porch and found nothing. The UPS tracking showed as Delivered and the proof photo was very blurry and obviously not my home. Irritated, I went through the UPS website and eventually asked for a call back. AB11, constantly disappointing standards with the Evri delivery drivers. Photos of parcels completely rubbish not even able to make out the address on the photo with no indication of the background, GPS location on the delivery confirmation at the wrong address and no attempt at all to knock or buzz my front door. Will be using collection points from now on, does anyone know how to block Evri from being couriers for parcels is this even an option?? Well aware this is common all over the country, just such a frustrating situation especially close to Christmas time!

Take the example of delivery workers sorting parcels in void decks. The practice clearly inconveniences residents, yet some Singaporeans defend it because it helps keep delivery costs low. Their stance is essentially: as long as they benefit, others shouldn’t complain. But that logic assumes everyone is buying things online - which isn’t true. I suspect that this is the kind of Singaporeans who would volunteer as translators if Singapore is invaded in future.
