Parcel Delivery and Courier Services of the International

Hi, international here who doesn't speak Dutch. Was considering ordering some electronics from Japan, but am unsure of how deliveries work here. When ordering something from a site and using a courier, let's say FedEX...if I'm not at home, do missed deliveries get passed to Bpost? If yes, how does Bpost contact me? And which Bpost outlet do I receive it from? Is there an alternative to direct FedEX to leave the parcel at Bpost so that I can simply pick it up from there? I have never used Bpost before, so I'm not sure if I should register myself at their site or something...

i have a parcelshop beneath my flat, but the site i ordered from doesn’t let you put them in as the original delivery address. when i go to do it via order tracking, the wee box doesn’t even show up - just this line. if anyone knows of a workaround pleeeaaase let me know

I ordered some fancy new stationery just before Christmas, went away for that period and assumed that the parcel was not delivered as Royal Mail tracking had not updated. I reached out to the seller who chased up with RM, and RM sent ‘proof of delivery’ which was the postie holding the parcel up in front of my (tiny) wall-mounted letterbox. Hi everyone, I bought an item a few days ago. In hindsight, it was probably a mistake to buy from this account as its username was a suspicious mix of letters and numbers. The only option for delivery was Evri home delivery. The first suspicious thing was when I got an email from Evri saying that the delivery address had been changed to one of my neighbours. I hadn't requested this. I went onto the tracking page and changed the address back to mine. In the meantime I went back to Vinted to check the seller's profile. Hi all, recently we noticed our local postie just wasn't coming to our house. My brother and his Mrs have had pacrles not turn up recently with "address inaccessible" put as the reason and id just assumes they'd not put the right address. Hi, I wonder if anybody in the UK can tell me what the process is if I miss a DHL delivery? I ordered an item from the USA, as far as the tracking was telling me the package was still making it's way to my country this morning then I just got an email to tell me that delivery was attempted a few hours ago. I was on my tracking and I saw that I could put delivery options and change the safe place and put when to re deliver if I’m not in today. So I did that, and selected the date to be tomorrow. Except now it’s acting like I completely rescheduled the delivery and it’s saying “in transit” as opposed to “ready for delivery” like it was before that. I wish I could order something online and put in an address and special code in the adress, so that my package gets sent to boxnow, they see the code and link it to me, and then they put it in a van and put it in their parcel box of my choice. This essentially gives me a new adress and delivery is seamless, Does such a thing exist?
