So, yesterday I recieved a call from a mobile number while at work. I answered. It was an Evri driver with a package for me. For context I live in a secure apartment complex in Manchester. He stayed on the phone as I gave him all the keycode numbers to access the complex and the specific front door and he delivered it into the foyer as requested. He was so polite and friendly abd even wished me a lovely day. I was so shocked as usually Evri drivers say its delivered and then haven't even attempted delivery or leave parcels outside the complex by the public footpath/road. Got two packages that are late. Theyve scanned one as out for delivery on wednesday. No further updates and today there was a receipt scan in to the DO then a minute later they scanned the package as "Unable to deliver." Im here working from home because lurgey by my front door. Hey all, so on my profile I make it very clear in the post of an item that I can only send parcels via inpost. I know this isn't very convenient but I can't drive and other than inpost my closet is evri which would require me to get a bus there and a bus back, which for a £3 item seems pointless for me. I’m posting this to warn people, because this problem is way bigger than one lost package. I ordered from AliExpress. The parcel reached my city. Then iMile stepped in and everything fell apart. They kept marking “Delivery Failed” and “Receiver Not Answering” even though the address is a commercial warehouse, open all day with staff at the reception.
