Hi all, hoping to get some insight into @defer. I'm using HotChocolate .net GraphQL server. I was able to enable @defer and can see it working in Nitro (HotChocolate's graphql schema explorer thing), but it seems to be bringing back the N+1 problem. My example: list of flights for the week, trying to @defer the list of passengers for each flight. With my regular dataloader, the dataloader receives the entire list of flights being loaded, and can go and fetch the passengers for those flights in one db request as expected. However now with @defer, it seems to be getting just 1 flight number (though sometimes multiple, but never the entire list) at a time and fetching the passengers...

Hi there. Just wondering has any successfully used the qantas $450 credit with AMEX and recieved cash back. The rules are you must use them on QF flight number. I don’t have anywhere to go on a QF flight number. I’d like to use the $450 elsewhere??? Anyone booked and then cancelled and got the money?

Always wondered why the BA flight number for the returning flight to London is lower than the outbound? Eg BA295 LHR to ORD but return flight is BA294 - you’d have thought should be 296🤷‍♂️

Sharing in case it’s useful for anyone dealing with trying to get compensation for long-haul delays flying stateside from the UK. I flew Delta from London Heathrow to JFK yesterday and the flight ended up delayed just over 3 hours (crew rest issue caused by a hotel fire alarm, which meant the crew didn’t have the required rest hours). Because the flight departed the UK, it fell under UK261, which mirrors EU261 in terms of compensation bands. My scheduled arrival was 19:40 and actual was recorded at 22:47, putting it in the 3-to-4-hour band, which legally only qualifies for 50% compensation on long-haul flights. Full compensation only kicks in once you hit 4 hours or more. In the...

Hi Everybody, I will state that I’m aware Ryanair doesn’t compensate for adverse weather, but I just want to be sure. The flight departed on time [12:40] but was unfortunately diverted to Liverpool John Lennon [~14:30]. For reasons not made clear we were unable to leave the plane (no ground crew or overfill terminal maybe). The crew then proceeded to take orders for food which were not complementary and ran out. My particular meal was given to me at 16:40. We then took off Liverpool at 18:15 and managed to arrive in Dublin at ~19:00. After a ton of prototypes (mini sized), I've finally come to a decent method and model to 3d print discs. It flies pretty well, I haven't done extensive testing but so far it's pretty nice. Best part, it is super easy and cheap to print because it doesn't use any supports! Discs come in a variety of names inspired by seemingly many things from birds to mythology. Most of the time a disc's name means little to me since the name doesnt tell me how it behaves, the flight numbers do. But once in a blue moon I come across a disc that is named well. It describes what the disc does or seems fitting in one way or another. Two examples of these ive come across would be the wave and the paradox. The wave's flight path looks like a wave and the paradox's extreme under stability makes it fly opposite to how a neutrally stable disc normally behaves.
