Has anyone ever joined jb hunt under their authority as owner operator.? Where ju like.

Anyone have experience being a lease operator for jb hunt? Looking to see what you experienced pay wise. Is it a good idea? I dont have many bills i live at home with my parents, can i save up enough money to buy my own truck in a few months to s year and become and owner operator under jb hunt? I hear thats where all the money is.

I started investing when I was much younger, as can be told with some of the more questionable stocks. However, I want to start diversify a bit more but stay relatively safe and away from bigger risks. If that makes sense. I intend on buying VOO soon, but I am more hesitant on where to move from here. So I work for JB Hunt currently on a dedicated account. I'm coming up on 2 years of total experience soon and I'm wondering if it's worth it to jump ship or not. I've been with JB almost a full year, prior to that I was with 3 other megas. Two I quit, one I was fired but not for anything safety related. I have a completely clean record (no accidents or tickets) and my doubles/triples endorsement. My account is semi-local, so I am home most nights. Another positive is that I can start at whatever time I want as long as the load is delivered on time. I enjoy the routes and my managers/coworkers are pretty chill. Has any one else purchased a bike during the recent Black Friday deal and still not received it? I purchased a refurbished bike on 12/1, it missed the first two scheduled delivery dates because JB Hunt hadn’t received the bike from Peloton. Now it’s just in limbo as they don’t even have an estimated delivery. Anyone else having or had a similar experience?

Just watched the Trucking Alliance roundtable and the stats are wild. Hair testing is 14x more effective at catching drug use than urine tests. But here's the problem, the DOT doesn't recognize hair test failures. So a driver fails a hair test at Maverick or JB Hunt, gets rejected, then goes and gets hired somewhere else the same week. The Clearinghouse can't even accept hair test results. And drivers who fail ANY test? They're just dropping down to panel vans and straight trucks where there's zero drug testing required. So I currently have a local trucking job working 4 on 4 off, averaged out about 44 hours a week between my short weeks and big weeks (month of weekends making short weeks have 36 hr checks) and big weeks (being the weekdays making it 48 hrs a week making us average to 42-44 hrs depending on how you do the math between the 2). I tend to work a lot of overtime when it’s available so my pay is a lot higher than my average. (Average is 61k a year) but I made 80.5k last year.
