Hi all, I am writing here in desperate need of some advice to help me get back my money. I ordered some shoes from puma which unfortunately did not fit. Their team asked me to send it back to them via some courier service as return pickup in my city was not available at that time. I entrusted DTDC with this task but some mistake in the drop address provided by puma. Unfortunately I only realised this once DTDC room my parcel and I cancelled it the same day. How does parcel delivery work for you? Do you have to go down, or do the delivery boys come up? What about Amazon/Flipkart/Myntra etc.? What about Zomat/Swiggy etc.? What about Blinkit/Instamart/Flipkart minutes/Bigbasket etc.? What about Post office/DTDC etc.? Are the delivery boys allowed to use the lifts?

MODS PLS DONT DELETE! I’m trying to send a parcel from Gurgaon to Mumbai, it’s a but fragile (Canvas painting) and packed in a TV box shaped cardboard. According to dimensions, most private courier services are asking around 1500-2000 rs. Where as India post says- 350 rs. (BUT POSSIBILITY OF BREAKAGE IS VERY HUGH ACCORDING TO THE PERSON ON DESK) Private companies aren’t taking any guaranty too. Even DTDC office guy said it’s best not to send from us, we don’t guaranty anything. Even though it costed 1400 rs. For cheapest option. Need help which one to choose in this situation. My prepaid shipment (D1008265080) was ruined by your team not once — but again and again with the SAME FAKE pattern: “Out for Delivery → No Call → No Attempt → Set RTO” Every. Single. Time. What I do have doubts about is packaging and shipping- do I start with the post office first? How do pickups work can the courier pick up from home or do l have to drop parcels at their post office? Which courier is better: DTDC or India Post? What are their charges? What is their usual delivery time for local, regional, and national shipments? **UPDATE(6/11/2025)**: Following this post, on 6:01 A.M. on 6th November(I posted this at around 12:30 A.M. on 6th), I recieved a response on discord stating that they had sent the issue to MCHOSE and were waiting for a response. Following this, I got a message at 12:56 P.M. saying that a replacement was ready. They also shared a chat with MCHOSE where MCHOSE did not respond. (all communication over discord) I also got a email at 2:18 P.M. from their shipping platform thing saying that I would get a keyboard. I guess I have tried all possible available options. Delhivery and Xpressbees: Never picks up. No matter how much you call, register complains. You end up going to their warehouse to hand over the package. Out of 20 orders I shipped, 7 weight discrepancy and image in discrepancy does not match the package I sent. Shiprocket -> everyone begins with it, very less parcels at that time, high charges, lost parcels in forward, and reverse shipments. Some good points: 50% claim given after lost ones but after a lot of time. Sometime shipment charges reversed due to fake attempts. 2. Bigship: Moved here because of Lost parcel issues. Tried Delhivery only. Too much NDRs, no process to fix them. We had to reply on emails for NDR. Fake weight issues to much. Provides services only if you are doing bulk recharge. Just wanted to share my frustrating experience with DTDC. I paid for home delivery, and the booking centre accepted the parcel without saying anything about service limitations. But when it reached the local branch, they suddenly refused to deliver it, saying my address is not in a serviceable area. The parcel has been stuck at their warehouse for over 3 days, and the staff were extremely arrogant when I called - they just told me to come and collect it myself. Bought a bunch of books from u/ashwinjjj. Got ₹140 off on shipping. They shipped via DTDC which seemed to have literally dipped the parcel into pickle oil. The packaging from the seller could have been better, safer. A few books got stained. No loss of text though. Antony Beevor’s book was in absolutely pristine condition. Thank you u/ashwinjjj
