Has anyone had any experience relocating with pets? working on moving from the UK and have a cat who will be joining me. I’ve never had any international travel experience with animals and as far as I can tell UK commercial airlines don’t allow animals to travel cabin. Has anyone had any experience relocating with pets specifically pets having to travel in a cargo hold? What was that process like? how did you & the pet find it? And/Or any other advice for moving with a furry friend would be greatly appreciated

I have three rabbits and I’m preparing to move to the UK. I can’t take them directly into the UK because importing rabbits directly requires a ridiculous 4 months of “rabies” quarantine at a government center, costing a good £8k. So I have a friend who will watch them in Germany, because if they enter the UK from a European country and they’ve been there for at least four months they don’t need quarantine It seems ITA airways has stopped allowing rabbits in cabin as of December 2025, and that was the only airline that allowed it. Basically the idea is, the game follows your character roaming throught the remanants of a zombie apocalypse, zombie corpses still exist, the world is overgrown, etc etc, your character becomes this sought of wandering trader, buying and selling things they find on their travels and things from other shelters, you also need to protect yourself from raiders who are after your cargo, but society is steadily rebuilding and based off how well you do society can rebuild faster or slower, all the different shelters have rivalries with other shelters and can possibly get annoyed if they learn you did business with another shelter and reputation slowly becomes key in making sure that you can sell it...
