Does anyone here have a similar experience? I sent a container to Malabo EG with 2 MPVs loaded last July and it was meant to reach the port last Oct, under CIF term. Yet my customer reflected in this Jan that they have never been able to retrieve the cargo holding the original BL, as it has never reached the desired destination. Maersk admitted that they shipped the container to Matadi, an inland port in Congo, and it has stayed there ever since. My client is very impatient and asking for a refund. What am I supposed to do at this point?
