[Discussion] (3/20) Underground Music Club #48: Mellow Drunk, Grand Analog, Standing on the Corner, Perseverance, and Mo...4d agoHi everyone, welcome to week 48 of the underground music club. For those who missed the [last post](https://www.reddit.com/r/indieheads/comments/1rso0r9/discussion_313_underground_music_club_47/), every Friday, I spotlight 5 artists with approximately fewer than 10,000 Spotify listeners (or minimal Reddit love if they do not stream on Spotify) who deserve your ears. Think genre-bending, soulful, strange, or just beautifully overlooked. Thanks to everyone who has sent me their suggestions. If I didn't include what you sent it doesn't mean I won't in a future week. I really listen to everything you all send and I always love to hear what you are all listening to. Got a favorit... I'm a university student trying to learn Russian. To those who are have become proficient in Russian: what kept you motivated despite how challenging learning a language is? How do you maintain **speaking and writing skills** if you aren't living in Russia or have Russian friends? I personally think having a friend who speaks Russian would encourage me to learn quicker (of course, on top of self-study and maybe a tutor)! I'm personally learning because of an assortment of different interests that happen to all coincidentally be Russian. I love listening to Eastern European, mainly Russian post-punk music, and I like learning about Russian history and literature. Also, ... Why is Tiktok bringing me Russian posts on my feed again? Anyone else experiencing this?20d agoLiterally last year, several months ago, I got Russian feed all over on my TikTok, then it disappeared after days - week, & now it’s back again?! WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?! One difference I’m noticing though: Last time it was spamming just Russian songs & people dancing to it vs. This time I’m literally seeing molesting / SA, abuse, women feeling sad & hurt, other random weird - ****** - inappropriate stuff, etc. WHAT IS THIS?! Happy 10th anniversary of the first Zootopia movie21d agoYep, the first Zoitopia movie turns 10 this day(on March 3rd, 2016). So, yeah, now it can be considered as the classic movie(for me, the movie should be 10 years, at least, to be considered "classic"). Zootopia is awesome:entertaining plot, nice animation, interesting characters like Judy, Nick, Clawhauser, Mayor Lionheart(or Mayor Golden Mane(Златогрив) in Russian dubbing), Flash(or Blitz in Russian dubbing), Gazelle, Mr. Big or even Gideon Gray. Also, I love the soundtrack of Zootopia, especially the song Try Everything, performed by Shakira. And there's also plenty of funny scenes in the movie:especially that funny scene with the sloths in ZPD(it even reminded me(... Russian Post (bad) News36d agoSo today Russian postcrossers discovered that the regrattable state of Russian post is even worse than we imagined. Apparently someone at the Moscow sorting office has been stealing the due postcards and selling them to secondhand booksellers. People have found several boxes of undelivered postcards in the shops across Moscow. A lot of people recognised the postcards they've sent or have been waiting for. Postcards were mostly sent around August-November 2025, so if you've been wondering where your WPD postcards are, that's most likely the answer. Moscow postcrossers are buying them out rn and trying to deliver themselves or at least notify either a sender or a recepient. We... Russian intelligence recruitment tactics in Ukraine37d agoWoman spied for a Russian agent and is now serving 15 years in a Ukrainian penal colony: https://archive.ph/Hu3bC Nothing with which to blackmail the target? No problem (/s) Use your own correspondence with the target as the leverage. > “Russians post ads offering quick, easy money. They then gradually assign tasks. Initially, these are very primitive – buy coffee, take a photo of a receipt in a cafe. For this, the funds are transferred to a bank card, and the recruitment process begins gradually,” he explained. “Later, more sensitive tasks appear – installing cameras along railway tracks, photographing military facilities, and so on.” If at a certain point the person ...
