N&M Transfer began as a cartage carrier in 1964 serving the cities of Neenah and Menasha, Wisconsin. A new direction was established for the company in 1980 when their company's chairman assumed leadership of N&M. His concept was to implement controlled growth into a geographic area capable of being served overnight from their centralized distribution center in Neenah. Sharing a recent observation from our side. We originally started tightening up our supplier sourcing process because specs, MOQs, and contacts had become increasingly hard to manage. One unexpected outcome was on the freight side. Once supplier data was cleaner and shipment patterns became more consistent, inbound LTL for chemicals to our factory became much easier to plan. My manager has told me I must have all this freight done by Tuesday and I'm not allowed to put it out after 6pm on any of the days I'm working on them which means a total of 8 hours considering I'm off Monday and only have tomorrow and Tuesday to have it finished.
