The AI tools are supposedly providing cleaner supplier data, better volume visibility, fewer surprises. In theory, that should translate into more predictable inbound freight and better LTL pricing? In practice I’m not sure how often sourcing improvements actually make it downstream to carriers and brokers in a meaningful way. Hello! I have been selling on Shopify for a little over a year now and was hoping to get some advice/wisdom from other sellers on how you are currently processing freight orders. We sell ready to assembly furniture (similar to IKEA but more expensive), and most of the orders we ship with UPS. However, we get the occasional order containing several pieces and it is usually cheaper to ship with a freight company. My team usually emails our sales rep with the details, and once we get the quote back, we go with whatever is cheaper between UPS and freight. i've had this question come up a couple times over the years. i have a customer asking me how to ship a small box about 40 miles. in my head i think "put it in your car and drive", but as far as providing actual solutions, has anyone done anything like this? I'm looking for a page design app that allows adding collection metafields. I did free trials of PageFly and Shogun. They both allow placing page metafields, but I can't find options for placing collection metafields on designed pages. This seems like a basic feature for a page designer. Am I missing this feature or are there other page design apps you recommend? My company is looking for a carrier to use a pallet jack to unload and drop off near the garage door. The dry run example would be 1 - Pallet @ 45" x 32" x 44" at a weight of 180lbs. Sharing a recent observation from our side. We originally started tightening up our supplier sourcing process because specs, MOQs, and contacts had become increasingly hard to manage. One unexpected outcome was on the freight side. Once supplier data was cleaner and shipment patterns became more consistent, inbound LTL for chemicals to our factory became much easier to plan.
