2013 Chevy Avalanche 4WD \~149,000 km About 2–3 weeks ago, I changed my engine oil for the first time myself, along with the idler pulley, tensioner pulley, serpentine belt, and engine air filter. I originally did those repairs trying to fix a squeal coming from the truck. Oddly enough, the squeal didn’t go away after replacing those parts, but it has since mostly disappeared on its own. When I first checked the dipstick after the oil change, the oil was so light/clean that I had trouble getting a proper reading. My portable AC made it a decade after getting fins cleaned each season. Yesterday it got loud. I suspected rubber mounts under compressor. But this morning i find the drip pan dried overnight, yet there is still oily residue near rusty spot. Mounts were worn, but it leaked. So now where does one recycle the thing? 2006 Pontiac G6 with 117k miles, 2.4l 4cyl engine. Car idles with zero issues, starts with zero issues, will rev up smoothly in park or neutral. However, when you drive it, it bogs itself down. It can barely climb hills, shifts hard, if you floor it, it will barely climb up to around 4k. For some reason it just won’t accelerate & if it does, it takes ages. It threw a code for cyl4 misfire and also a code for a VVT solenoid. Put 4 new spark plugs in it, tested fuel injectors (they sounded fine) took off & fully cleaned throttle body, replaced the VVT solenoids, cleaned mass air flow sensor, tested the fuel rail pressure (holds at 60 psi).
