I've always wondered why we haven't seen an LTL carrier compete to be the finest worldwide carrier for delivery shipments, such as the best in air cargo, LCL less than container load, and LTL less than truckload with terminals. I would love to see an American company purchase Maersk and Cargolux like FedEx freight, XPO, R&L freight, etc., and become the only shipper to use them. Why haven't we seen it yet? Is it simply too difficult? We've only ever seen someone succeed in one of these areas, never all three. Too complicated?
