Like if they wanted to do a closer equivalent for each nation and just use East Asian influences only. I’m guessing that Fire Nation would be Japan and Earth Kingdom China. If they only wanted East Asian influences, then Water Tribes could be a good Korea equivalent. They even have a north South divide. Tibet is still East Asian so the Air Nomads are covered. If they wanted something different then Mongolia would be a good choice. And there’s still Hong Kong and Taiwan left.
