Got a local job and stuck with that(non cdl)and now I been trying to find a job otr again and being im ready to get back at it, I haven’t drove in the last 18 months. Just a vent. I’m trying to find a local job, god forbid I want to work less 50 hours a week and live a normal life. I can’t just pack up my home, pets and abandon my family to be a 70 hour a week OTR slave and **** it for a year. I have 4 years of school bus experience that means nothing evidently. Every, single, last, company I apply to rejects me because their insurance requires 2 years of tractor experience. Recruiters came to our school. I got a phone interview and then an interview. For the past month and a half, JB Hunt has assigned a new driver to our delivery truck who, unlike previous drivers, comes in through the front entrance and demands for a manager to meet him in back. he has even walked back to our receiving area without giving me and other keyed people (like myself) time to go to the back door and unlock it for him. Are they even allowed to do that? Every previous driver always called the store to let us know they're here and waited patiently for us to open the dock and receiving entrance for them. I'm always at the same local shippers as these guys. They will hook up, raise the gear, and leave all within 2 minutes. They never walk further back than the landing gear unless they have to slide. They are not hourly in Los Angeles, just load pay + extra only. On the freeway, guaranteed they are doing 65 and their trucks will allow it. These dudes are always in a hurry. Of all the Megas, I swear they are unique in terms of how fast they operate. Any JBH drivers wanna chime in on this?

Has anyone ever joined jb hunt under their authority as owner operator.? Where ju like.

Anyone have experience being a lease operator for jb hunt? Looking to see what you experienced pay wise. Is it a good idea? I dont have many bills i live at home with my parents, can i save up enough money to buy my own truck in a few months to s year and become and owner operator under jb hunt? I hear thats where all the money is.

I started investing when I was much younger, as can be told with some of the more questionable stocks. However, I want to start diversify a bit more but stay relatively safe and away from bigger risks. If that makes sense. I intend on buying VOO soon, but I am more hesitant on where to move from here.
