So I currently have a local trucking job working 4 on 4 off, averaged out about 44 hours a week between my short weeks and big weeks (month of weekends making short weeks have 36 hr checks) and big weeks (being the weekdays making it 48 hrs a week making us average to 42-44 hrs depending on how you do the math between the 2). I tend to work a lot of overtime when it’s available so my pay is a lot higher than my average. (Average is 61k a year) but I made 80.5k last year. Due to change of management and them not liking overtime and people being filled in the positions I would cover my overtime has been cut significantly so I may get 60 hrs some weeks or break even on my short checks. I did my third and final interview with the Director on Dec 23 for the Management Position that was supposed to start in January. I thought all went well and they even asked what starting date I was looking at as I applied for both January and Summer, to which I said I preferred to start in January. I was told the position wouldn’t start until mid/late January, but it’s been real silent on their end. I recently got a phone call from jb hunt about a job. I went to their website and saw that they are paying upwards of 100,000$ on some of their jobs. Is this real or is this a trap ment for new drivers. Also are they a good company to work for.

I got to wait 2+ hours for roadside to come fix a tire cause JB Hunt can't find a store to get the work done fast so they send out a far more expensive service truck. WTF is with these companies pissing away cash on craplike this, I know a tire shop is withing 5 miles of where I am. Update: 4.5 hours to get the tire reseated ..... Only bright spot was it was young lady who did it. Bravo to that company for hiring a woman.
