Online Japan Post Tracking - 日本郵便追跡

I had no idea Japan post wasn't shipping to the US. Apparently they don't ship anything above $100 and my package is $250 of goods. I usually use EMS and it's around $40. Now it's $124 with buyee air delivery. My package is 1420g total weight and 6080g volumetric weight. I probably won't be ordering from Japan anytime soon after this.

On the day, I brought all my documents, arrived 10 minutes early, and even waited an extra 20 minutes past my appointment time. But in the end, they refused to open the account because I already have a Japan Post Bank (Yucho) account. I explained that I wanted a separate account for salary and living expenses, and I really tried to communicate with my limited Japanese and a translator app. Still, the final answer was just “No.” Now I’m wondering...can I try again at a different MUFG branch? Or is it better to just go to another bank and try opening an account there instead?

Do not choose the "japan post air mail" option. They will double charge you shipping to send your items to you after a lengthy process of the item being sent to a warehouse. Worst service ever. Never buying from them again.

I noticed that Japan Post isn’t currently doing sea post at the moment (at least not to New Zealand) does anyone know why and if its likely to change in the next year?

I know FedEx/DHL is the most reputable and safest, but holy **** it's expensive. I see Japan Post EMS as well and it's cheaper but I'm not sure which is the best. This package has been at customs since Dec 15. Spoke to Customs directly today (Jan 16) and they assured it was cleared on their end on Dec 16, and that usps likely never scanned it back. I just delivered a pen to a Japanese Post office and was wondering how long will it take to come to the United States. Inside the box is a WAGNER Magic Serpent. I just gave it to Japan Post to ship it back to myself in California. I used EMS. If anyone has used Japan Post before, please share your experience.
