My husband and I are trying to redo our honeymoon after 3 years becasue the first one we had the unfortanate experience of getting food poisoning. We are looking to fly from Pittsburgh to Milan or Rome. Or Cleveland to Milan or Rome. We would like to do business class and we have about 488k Chase miles. The dates are August 27th or 28th to September 6th or 7th. I am having a very hard time finding anything under 500k miles per person. I am not sure if that is normal. A little backstory: I am 43 years old, started playing in '97 as a forehand only player but dropped out of the sport for life and other things in 2003 until 2020. I'm newish to booking with points and we just got a delta gold card. I can book my upcoming flight for 17k points through KLM, but it's delta operated and delta flight numbers. The same flight would be about 32k points directly through Delta. Would I still get the free checked bag from my Delta gold card? Should I just play it safe and **** it up and use the 32k points to guarantee I can take my bag?

I'm flying Etihad for the first time in June, and I booked Comfort Economy tickets. I'm curious about how much it would cost to upgrade to business, at least for the longest leg of my trip, and I can't figure out a clean way to do that! If I manage my trip, and go to "upgrades," the only option it gives me is to bid on upgrades. It looks like I won't know if my bid was accepted until less than a week before the trip.
