It's important to understand where relay are in the pecking order of couriers. Amazon drivers are the highest in line, DSP kinda defies the rules but flex is a better example. You work directly for the retailer and often you will get better treatment. You dont need to take pictures on deliveries, you can call the customer etc. The 2nd party couriers like royal mail, dpd are paid by the retailer to deliver their packages. It's less user friendly, you dont get to call the customer, the courier doesnt have intel on the customer to know when theyre home (using the amazon app, or echo/ring devices for example), you will have to wait more at the door and have more returns.
