Latest Community Discussions About ECHOThe House That Hungers: Part 113h agoDavid Altrick, a man desperately trying to escape his past, arrived in the southern town of Morrow under a sky the color of sifted dust as a country song about forgiveness drifted from the radio, its hollow chorus echoing a faith he could not claim. He was not fleeing the law, but the careful geometry of his hands, each finger a tally of small violences, every decision a quiet theft from another’s life. Restlessness pressed behind his ribs, a need for escape brewed in his chest, and he longed for a place that would not demand answers. Mrs. Hargreeve, the local real estate agent, waiting at the gated entrance to David’s newly purchased property, pressed the keys into the palm of his hand... Echoes from the Stolen Archive4d agoDr. Mara Levine, a codicologist in London, receives a mysterious parcel containing an 18th-century folio with cryptic annotations and a ledger slip referencing a "stolen archive" compiled between 1946 and 1949, coded as "K-12." This discovery ignites her curiosity and a sense of unease, as initial "A.L." on the ledger… from MixCache.com - Latest eBooks https://mixcache.com/books/display/14644/echoes-from-the-stolen-archive via [MixCache.com](https://mixcache.com) The Future of Land Buying: How Arkansas Landwatch is Changing the Game6d agoIn recent years, the real estate landscape has undergone significant transformations, influenced by technological advancements, shifting consumer expectations, and evolving market conditions. Reddit made me lose my ability to write for more than 5 years11d agoI've been writing in some form or another for around \~20 years now (currently in my early 30s). It's just something I've always loved doing, and it's been part and parcel with my lifelong love for reading. Until I was in my mid-20s though, I had never really considered trying to get published. I've always had a ton of ideas running through my head, and how they manifested themselves would usually be in the form of quick, snappy short stories. As I began to think about writing a full-length novel and possibly getting published, I thought it would be a fun idea to join some online writing communities/forums, chat with likeminded people with the same passion and ****,... I explored a cave after ABI left town. Something inside had been waiting.14d agoAshen Blade Industries pulled out of Coldwater Junction after apparent budget cuts. Three solid days of flatbeds moving heavy equipment, and for a while the town's one convenience store kept running out of coffee by ten in the morning from all the driver traffic. People stood outside watching the trucks go. After a certain point the pattern of it started to feel less like a corporate withdrawal and more like an evacuation, though I don't think anyone would have said that out loud. Then the trucks stopped and the roads cleared, and the fencing on the east parcels — land ABI had been sitting on for close to two years without doing anything visibly useful with it — stayed in pla... Shifting15d ago**Shifting to a preferred version of Earth** Q.: \`Are we able to reach a greater level of equilibrium, freedom, and abundance for all of humanity across all countries?´ Bashar: \`No, no. Remember, you never change the planet you're on. You shift yourself to a new already coexisting version of Earth that already contains the reflections of people in a more harmonious state. You shift to new Earths all the time, literally billions of times per second. The other Earths still remain. So, some people will decide to go and shift to versions of Earth where disharmony will remain, some people will decide to shift to versions of Earth where there is more peace and harmony. So, not everyone w... Homebody16d agoI had not known initially what to make of the pile of mucus and flesh that befell my doorstep as winter arrived. Snow had yet to begin, but cutting gusts of frigid air whalloped my front door to be let in, only allowed to when the mail went too long without being checked. This was how I found it. It laid–although maybe it didn’t, maybe it just was–on the front porch in a quick-to-dry puddle of its own liquids. This liquid in question sopped where the fatty meat touched pavement, but what the air could reach had dried out thoroughly into a crispy top. I had been so frightened, but neither hollering nor gasping, I only stood with an open mouth, then closed it in case something that could... There is something about the rhythmic thud of the axe that recalls the life I once led. That existence is long gone now, but its subtle echoes ground me on my darkest days. Never-ending Vines22d ago# 1. Came from the marshes Estival Cycle Just before the sun rose on a foggy morning in a marsh, a woman toiled to bring forth new life. She had awaited all hibernal season and most of the vernal season for this moment. The cold proved harsh for her and her swelling womb, and the vernal season brought no goods or food by her hand. She grew weaker daily and now the time has come. She labored along the path near the trapped floodwaters that had become landlocked from the lagoon some years ago. She carried on as long as she could before coming to rest in the thick mist of the marsh, her back pressing against a fallen moss-covered log.... High Noon at Hobbler's Gulch23d agoI'm doing a western reimagining of Orpheus and his journey to the underworld. I posted a little bit in a different subreddit, but I wrote some more and was hoping to get some feedback. Any kind is good, and I hope you enjoy it. Right now it's sitting at around 3500 words Somewhere beyond The Walking Desert, a place of scorched earth that would see a normal man die before he crossed it, was a town that even fewer living men would be privy to. Rust was the first and last stop before Hobbler's Gulch, the main street leading right up to the drop off. Whether a bridge was ever planned, or if there was one before, Mayor Hadley never said. Most folks knew better than to ask. The Gu... Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
