I've always wondered why we haven't seen an LTL carrier compete to be the finest worldwide carrier for delivery shipments, such as the best in air cargo, LCL less than container load, and LTL less than truckload with terminals. I would love to see an American company purchase Maersk and Cargolux like FedEx freight, XPO, R&L freight, etc., and become the only shipper to use them. Why haven't we seen it yet? Is it simply too difficult? We've only ever seen someone succeed in one of these areas, never all three. Too complicated? So I want to order from a specific retailer in the UK. They use the Royal Mail for international shipping, no issues with that. My concern is for once the stuff lands here in South Africa how will it go from there to my house or workplace? If they're using like Courier Guy or DSV or something to do the local delivery I've got no issues but if it has to fall under the remit of our postal service is the purchase going to get to me or will it be lost to the void?
