Online DPD Tracking

Buyer from Germany here: I have ordered many lairs before and usually after the "your parcel is on the way" mail from DPD the shipment arrives within 2-3 days. Never had issues before. Now with the latest drop of Furbies, Jaws and Dwight from the Office the order is stuck at the DPD warehouse for over a week and no updates on the app. Anyone else have this and they are just out of capacities before the holidays or is it just my bad luck this time?

Hello, I've been living in Germany for 2 weeks now and I bought something off of Temu (local warehouse) for the first time (both using Temu and getting something online in Germany). Is it standard for the postie to just not knock and say you missed it, with it being christmas coming up I have had a lot of parcels being delivered. All the deliveries from evri, DPD etc have gone fine. But every single RM delivery is just a note saying they missed me. For context I work from home (office is the next room from the front door) and my dog sits with me while I work and yet neither of us are aware someone is at the door until the note comes through saying I didnt answer.

Ordered an £850 camera at 5:00pm yesterday, was hoping it would possibly arrive today since it was set as dispatched by CEX within half hour. Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask this question but I’m having problems with DPD and was wondering if this sounds like theft or a genuine human error. Was due a parcel delivery to a pick up locker on Friday, Friday came and went with nothing, I get a message saying it’s delivered Saturday. I go to collect it and a parcel addressed to someone else is in my locker. I call DPD they say they will get someone to contact me Sunday to collect the other ladies parcel and my parcel is in the other persons locker so they will try sort it out. No one contacts me Sunday. How come if my parcel is over 6kg it automatically switches to dhl route? There is no dpd route when im over 6kg and so the price doubles Anyone knows what to do?

It's important to understand where relay are in the pecking order of couriers. Amazon drivers are the highest in line, DSP kinda defies the rules but flex is a better example. You work directly for the retailer and often you will get better treatment. You dont need to take pictures on deliveries, you can call the customer etc. The 2nd party couriers like royal mail, dpd are paid by the retailer to deliver their packages. It's less user friendly, you dont get to call the customer, the courier doesnt have intel on the customer to know when theyre home (using the amazon app, or echo/ring devices for example), you will have to wait more at the door and have more returns. I ordered a keyboard from Keychron to Slovakia on October 24 and the package was shipped via YunExpress. Not looking forward to the nightmare that is getting a parcel on the week leading up to Christmas. Any tips? I'm thinking about picking someone who'll send with DPD because Royal Mail are going to be terrible this time of year, although they're my first choice for the rest of the year.
