Dynamic Parcel Distribution (German: Deutscher Paket Dienst) or DPD is an international parcel delivery company owned by GeoPost. It has more than 800 depots in more than 40 countries and is one of Europe's leading B2B parcel delivery services. The company was founded in 1977 in Aschaffenburg, Germany. In its first year of operation, over 1.4 million parcels were shipped - by 1980 this figure had risen to 7 million. Today 2 million parcels are shipped every day. DPD is majority owned by GeoPost, a subsidiary of La Poste, France's postal service. Geopost bought UK carrier Parceline and Ireland's Interlink parcels service in 2001 for around $277 million. Parceline was rebranded DPD in March 2008. DPD became a carbon neutral company in July 2012. The company uses a carbon neutral method called "Total zero". This is offered to customers without any extra cost.

Latest Community Discussions About DPDIs over a month normal for Vinted to confirm a parcel lost?18h agoThe seller shipped 4 March, originally it said it would be at the verification hub 12-17 March, now that’s been changed and they won’t look into it till 9 April. That seems like a crazy timeline, is that normal? Other delivery services will look into it after the original window has passed rather than just randomly extending it. I received an email saying 'your item has been delivered to your neighbour'. Huh? None of my direct neighbours are in during the day, or would take a parcel for me. I opened the email to discover that the 'neighbour' was actually a post office, several miles away. I am disabled and do not drive. I don't have the ability to collect an item left in a random location. So, I create a ticket. Thursday, the response tells me the item is at the post office, so they haven't even read it. I've been struggling to find a safe, affordable courier service that can send a parcel containing a Valve Index Headset from the UK to South Africa (Not Parcel Force or Royal Mail). The controllers each have installed one small li-po cell, only 3.8 Wh each, which falls well under the IATA international air safety requirements and shouldn't need any dangerous goods labels. That being said, every time I've spoken to any courier service (Such as DPD, FedEx, UPS, etc) their very unhelpful customer service have either outright refused to assist, or quoted me ridiculous prices like 850GBP, despite what their own rules and the IATA rules st... Ich hab gestern Abend (über das Vinted System) etwas nichts so günstiges an jemanden aus Frankreich verkauft, welcher als Versandmethode DPD ausgesucht hat. Heute Vormittag habe ich es dann direkt bei der Post abgegeben (circa 11:20 Uhr). Habe dann über das Vinted System die automatische Benachrichtigung bekommen, dass das Paket offiziell verschickt wurde und dem Kunden ein Foto der Quittung zugeschickt. Had an order delivered by DPD yesterday, have these very regularly from this particular company. I wasn't going to be in which is rare so checked the DPD app and made sure I didn't have the safe place option as my house is open to the road, so the option was to leave with a neighbour. This package took longer to deliver and eventually was delivered/redirected in another parcel shop about 120km away by DPD. As I am not driving that distance what will happen.
