Dynamic Parcel Distribution (German: Deutscher Paket Dienst) or DPD is an international parcel delivery company owned by GeoPost. It has more than 800 depots in more than 40 countries and is one of Europe's leading B2B parcel delivery services. The company was founded in 1977 in Aschaffenburg, Germany. In its first year of operation, over 1.4 million parcels were shipped - by 1980 this figure had risen to 7 million. Today 2 million parcels are shipped every day. DPD is majority owned by GeoPost, a subsidiary of La Poste, France's postal service. Geopost bought UK carrier Parceline and Ireland's Interlink parcels service in 2001 for around $277 million. Parceline was rebranded DPD in March 2008. DPD became a carbon neutral company in July 2012. The company uses a carbon neutral method called "Total zero". This is offered to customers without any extra cost.

It was organised by curry’s who arranged DPD to collect from my doorstep (Scotland). Weeks went by with no refund. Curry’s kept telling me it would take 48 hours for a refund. I then complained to them and they eventually told me that DPD has “lost” my parcel. They still wouldn’t refund me so I went to Virgin credit card and opened a dispute. Virgin have chased curry’s but curry’s have said no. Virgin have now come back to me and said “After reviewing the available evidence, unfortunately we are unable to accept your claim. CeX Delivery nightmare - my first order, and won't be using them again8h agoI was in all day Wednesday, waiting the item to arrive. I received an email saying 'your item has been delivered to your neighbour'. Huh? None of my direct neighbours are in during the day, or would take a parcel for me. I opened the email to discover that the 'neighbour' was actually a post office, several miles away. I am disabled and do not drive. I don't have the ability to collect an item left in a random location. So, I create a ticket. Thursday, the response tells me the item is at the post office, so they haven't even read it. I reply immediately, saying I am unable to collect from there. I've been struggling to find a safe, affordable courier service that can send a parcel containing a Valve Index Headset from the UK to South Africa (Not Parcel Force or Royal Mail). The controllers each have installed one small li-po cell, only 3.8 Wh each, which falls well under the IATA international air safety requirements and shouldn't need any dangerous goods labels. This package took longer to deliver and eventually was delivered/redirected in another parcel shop about 120km away by DPD. As I am not driving that distance what will happen.
