Let's assume a package needs to go from east coast to west coast by ground. That's about 3000 miles and assuming an average of 60 MPH it should take around 50 hours of actual driving time. UPS says 5 business days. That means the parcel is only moving about 40% of the time. Are the trailers typically sitting in yards overnight and only moving during daylight hours? I got package ordered, whose content is worth 300$ and I paid another 100$ for shipment. The package was picked up in USA by DHL on 16th of December, and arrived in Poland on 18th of December. I was contacted by DHL on 17th to declare, what does the package contain. I responded the next day. Next, 19th I received an email from DHL that the shipment contains restricted items and I need permission from specific regulatory office to import it.
