An Post is the state-owned provider of postal services in the Republic of Ireland. An Post provides a "universal postal service" to all parts of the country as a member of the Universal Postal Union. Services provided include letter post, parcel service, deposit accounts, Express Post (an all-Ireland next-day delivery service), and EMS (international express-mail service). An Post, the Irish postal administration, came into being in 1984 when, under the terms of the Postal & Telecommunications Services Act of 1983, the Post Office services of the Department of Posts and Telegraphs (P&T) were divided between An Post and Telecom Éireann, the telecommunications operator now called Eir. At its inception, during the early years of the Irish Free State, the Department of Posts and Telegraphs was the country's largest department of state, and its employees (most of them postmen) constituted the largest sector of the civil service.

Ordered a custom printed jumper for someone's birthday and I didn't realise it was coming from the US. Any time I've used the site (RedBubble) before, stuff has come from the UK. Ordered on the 15th, shipped on the 19th, estimated delivery was 23rd-27th. Just slightly worried because it's for a birthday next Friday. The property was abandoned last year after a fire. The owner was renting it out to some college kids (not confirmed) when the fire broke out in one of the buildings. She applied for Jobseeker's Pay Related benefit and got approved while she's applying for jobs alongside but the job market is tight as we all know. Nevertheless, she keeps applying daily. We had plans to visit her parents even before she got the news about redundancy and had made bookings and all that stuff. My question is if she's away for two weeks and cannot collect her payment and inform the DSP as well before leaving, would she get those two weeks paid when she's back? Can I or someone else collect the payment on her behalf? ...
