An Post is the state-owned provider of postal services in the Republic of Ireland. An Post provides a "universal postal service" to all parts of the country as a member of the Universal Postal Union. Services provided include letter post, parcel service, deposit accounts, Express Post (an all-Ireland next-day delivery service), and EMS (international express-mail service). An Post, the Irish postal administration, came into being in 1984 when, under the terms of the Postal & Telecommunications Services Act of 1983, the Post Office services of the Department of Posts and Telegraphs (P&T) were divided between An Post and Telecom Éireann, the telecommunications operator now called Eir. At its inception, during the early years of the Irish Free State, the Department of Posts and Telegraphs was the country's largest department of state, and its employees (most of them postmen) constituted the largest sector of the civil service.

I had a tracked parcel coming from abroad and was following it online. It showed as being sorted for two days, and then all of a sudden I saw last. night that the tracking updated to say it couldn’t be delivered and was being returned to sender. When I looked into it more, the actual address itself — street, town and county — was completely correct, however the first letter of the Eircode was out by one character, e.g. it showed B instead of C, but the rest of the Eircode was correct. I already hold a full license (10+ years) from a foreign country that isn't recognised here, so I was eligible for reduced EDT and could skip the six-month cooldown after getting my learner permit. I've been riding two-wheelers for 10 years, so I have road sense and judgment, but this was my first time properly learning to drive a car. Germany > Ireland missing post?2d agoHi please if someone could help my sister ordered something on eBay from an American seller at the start of November the estimated delivery was due between the 5th-18th of November however when we track it directs us to the dhl Germany (which is where we’re assuming it is) however last update we have is from the 27th of November saying parcel has arrived in destination but when we track using an post as parcel is coming to Ireland all we can see is an update from the 25th of November saying they’ve Received information and nothing since we’ve been on help chats and they say the seller will have to get in contact but they say there’s nothing they can do on their end has anyone experie... An Post tracking shows: “We have received information about your incoming item from the sender”. The parcel is EU → EU, so no customs involved. Had to assemble my new build in a bucket because my NCASE shipment sits idle in the Netherlands for 6 days nows3d agoPlease enjoy a picture of my new build (9800X3D & Nvidia 5080) in a freaking bucket. The reason behind it is simple. My shipment from NCASE sits idle in the Netherlands since 10th December (destination Ireland). YunExpress tracking states that the item has been handed over to the local carrier. AnPost tracking states that it did not receive my item yet. It is a pretty disappointing experience that you charge 40+ Euro for shipping and I still have to chase you because of logistical issues. Moreover, you provide no information on expected shipping times. So far, NCASE is a 0/5 for me. Let’s hope the actual product will hit the mark (if it eventually arrives). Paradigit changed my Delivery address a small bit and now my package is being returned3d agoOrdered a RTX 5080 to an address which had everything required and when I see the label they issued it was missing the building and the street (still had the Eir Code but apparently An Post don't use that as a direct address to deliver too lol) An post tried to deliver today but stated "package being returned to sender as address incomplete" Now my package is on the way back to the Netherlands to be re sent back Any one else experience something like this ? Insight on Ireland Postal Market Delays3d agoHi all, I sent in my FBR application on November 28th. It got to Dublin on December 6th, and USPS has it leaving the airport, but now it is certainly in the abyss as AnPost hasn't scanned it on their end. Is AnPost just super slammed right now with the holidays and the collapse of the Fastway couriers? Has anyone shipped post-Thanksgiving from the US recently and got their application to the FBR Office successfully? EDIT: it passed customs today :). Being sorted for delivery now EDIT 2: It passed customs and was delivered to FBR office in <24 hours.
