We’ve been renting in this building for three years and never had a single package go missing... until very recently. Over the past few weeks, we’ve started seeing random opened parcels (not ours) left around the building, ripped apart and dumped in weird spots. A few nights ago I had an Amazon delivery arrive late. I buzzed the driver in but couldn’t grab it straight away because I was dealing with my kid. By the next morning it was gone. Hi guys, hope you’re all well. I’ve just been thinking about creating a van organiser just for us drivers because sometimes finding certain parcels becomes such a stressful and time wasting thing. Especially when you have multi stops and despite putting them in order sometimes things get missed I looked around on Amazon but couldn’t find one that I think would make our life easier so I thought why not make one? I work at an Amazon sortation centre in the UK (England) and I had an incident today that’s stressing me out badly. A Flex driver came to pick up parcels, and I was moving a cage back into the warehouse. I pushed it inside, then stepped away for a moment. When I was outside again, I saw the cage rolling back out of the building and it hit the driver’s car. It was completely my fault — I didn’t leave it in the proper area and I didn’t put the brake on. Been having some stinker of a route last few days one from dxn1 and one from dha2 very time consuming and took the full time of the block🫩 Has anyone noticed that from our depots parcel intake has gone to like a consistent 45 parcels per block but I don’t see anything surging. They be giving 10 overflow per cage and it’s non existent to get a block that has surged. I guess I’ll be taking base all Christmas with the way things are going. I’m sure everyone will agree with this but its posted more for my own records and accountability - I am establishing some ground rules to preserve my mental health while delivering with Amazon, especially after a shitshow today to kick off Black Friday week. 1.
