Latest Community Discussions About AgilityHistorical Evidence of Prion Disease and Cannibalism: A Comprehensive Investigation1d ago# Historical Evidence of Prion Disease and Cannibalism: A Comprehensive Investigation # Executive Summary This investigation began with a simple question: do historical accusations of cannibalism against specific populations correlate with evidence of prion disease? What emerged was far more disturbing than expected. The evidence suggests a 5,000-year continuous practice that adapted when modern prion science became public knowledge in the 1990s. # Part 1: The Foundation - Understanding Prion Disease # What Are Prions? Prions are misfolded proteins that cause fatal neurodegenerative diseases. Unlike bacteria or viruses, prions contain no DNA or RNA. They're just proteins, but they&... It is the ending that left me wondering what journey awaits tomorrow, Lou? Like that one cliffhanger, she was looking at a bridge wearing a fragile suit.So I'm thinking the game will go to Papua New Guinea. Then again, I would love to see Kojima's version of New York or maybe even France. We've seen a lot of apocalypse games taking place in France, like Expedition 33, so why not?y not?And we are on this topic of new places, and we would be interested to see what kind of terrain it would be, given that we go to New York or France.I assume everything will be a bit well-grounded, then again, this is Death... [EVENT] Australia in 19608d ago##September 1960: Conveniently located on the outskirts of Asia, Australia occasionally thinks itself immune to the ravages of global conflict. Even in the darkest hours of the Second World War, Australia faced only a few Japanese air raids, escaping the grim fate of New Guinea and Southeast Asia. Yet as mankind enters a new decade, many Australians feel themselves as unsafe as they did in 1942. Coordinated wave of generic 3–4★ reviews on GBP — any escalation path for “fake engagement”?11d agoHi everyone, Our Google Business Profile (real estate agency in Phuket, Thailand) has been receiving a daily wave of suspicious reviews over the past week — mostly 3★ and 4★ with extremely generic comments like “Outstanding!”, “Amazing place!”, etc. The accounts often show abnormal patterns: multiple similar reviews posted across unrelated businesses and different countries within hours, suggesting automated or fake engagement rather than real customer experiences. Example review link: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/NRLHheWCS1dvEVER8](https://maps.app.goo.gl/NRLHheWCS1dvEVER8) We have already reported 15+ reviews in the last 10 days through the official GBP tools, but Google keep... Yeah, me too coffee15d agoI saw Yeah, Me Too mentioned last week in a coffee shop discussion so I decided to try their delivery today. I hadn’t heard of them before but was intrigued. Fabulous. This may be the best coffee I’ve had in years. I bought the Uganda, Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea. Price was fair. More than grocery store, but fair for a small roaster. The smell makes me so happy and their service was great. I am trying to support our small local businesses as much as I can. Give these guys a try. It’s the little things that make our city great. Global Composite Welfare Indicator: Median Purchasing Power Plus Public Investment67d ago# Luxembourg leads the world at $120,478 per capita, combining exceptional median consumption with robust public spending. This novel composite indicator—summing median purchasing power per capita with public social, infrastructural, and environmental spending per capita—reveals that Nordic welfare states and small wealthy nations dramatically outperform even high-GDP countries with weaker redistribution systems. The United States, despite having the world's highest nominal GDP per capita among large nations, ranks only 10th due to high inequality reducing median consumption. At the bottom, conflict-affected states like Central African Republic ($369), South Sudan ($486), and Burund... “Come out and fight me like a man!”82d ago> “Come out ye Black And Tans / Come out and fight me like a man / Show your wife how you won medals down in Flanders / Tell her how the IRA made you run like **** away” — Irish rebel song by Dominic Behan, circa 1960. > “I keep my friends close, *and my enemies closer!*” — C. Montgomery Burns. A post made yesterday in this sub by [redacted], who claims to be from the Middle East in his flair, was the inspiration for this post. It got me thinking about a pattern of cultural disconnect I often see in this conflict, but seldom hear talked about in any detail. Finally, after yet another year of working hard and/or hardly working and with much demand from the masses, I have yet another subject review for my second year of uni (I'll have to circle back with second year subjects since I didn't finish my second year media subjects). As a reminder for how I rate things, I use a scale from 1-10 with 5 being a perfectly average unnoteable subject with anything below 5 being mid and anything above it being a recommendation. Also, as was the case last year, completely happy to follow-up with any questions you have, am mostly just drinking beers and working for the next 4 months so Ive got time to respond. Hope this helps! Red Empire: T... A World of Stamps by Ernest Dudley Chase in 194799d agoWhat’s the Deal with U.F.O.s? Scientists consider whether we’ve been visited by aliens or their technology. The extraterrestrials in popular culture, however, always looked so familiar that I found them far-fetched. What are the chances that E.T., the Predator, or *ALF* would develop arms and legs, a humanlike face, and opposable thumbs? Perhaps as a result, I associated alien li... PSA - For those ordering outside of the US (especially Canada), you should expect heavy import taxes220d agoAnalogue is an American company that manufactures in China but still ships out of the US. Their hardware is **designed in Seattle** but **manufactured in China**, imported into the U.S., then shipped globally. You should expect 80-100% taxes on the sale price of the console, especially if shipped with UPS. UPS currently heavily taxes Canadians importing goods in a really shady way as i've discovered recently when ordering goods from the US. **This is taken directly from their website:** # Shipping All shipments are fully insured and tracked.
