My shipment had been on hold since October 25 (7days now). And all they say is that it is under ABF and DHL cannot do anything about it. And that ABF can hold it up to months. 🥲🙃 and all dhl say is no action from my side but tracking says to contact dhl. And when I contacted them, they have no info for me. Any experiences here that had been held at Australian customs? How long did it take? My package is a personal gift (95 USD). Books, cap, personalized items, and Japanese skincare. Argh.

**UPDATE:** Finally got to speak with the case officer in charge of my issue with the TGA. They are releasing the shipment due to an error on the ABF end where they basically missed/"failed to identify" the attached scipt when they intercepted it. They further back this decision up with seeing that previous and subsequent imports had the scipt which is valid attached and also on file with the TGA (Yeah they keep records of these scripts btw). So this is now a non-issue in the eyes of ABF and the TGA, with the goods being released and sent to me without me even needing to provide the script myself. \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

Hello. Recently got a letter from abf stating they had seized a shipment of nicotine pouches I made. I have a prescription, but the letter stated they did not find it in the database. It states I can contact them, fill out the claim form / provide a valid prescription that is in date (which mine is) within 30 days. It then has a statement that there is some sort of possible legal fee if the claim is not considered valid (I think I’m reading that correctly, and given I have a script, there’s no reason indeed it not being accepted). The major carriers I trust in order are: Estes, R&L, then it drops off quickly to ABF, Roadrunner, that's about it. Using T-Force and AAA Cooper sometimes. The rest like XPO, SAIA, trying to avoid because of extra charges. FedEx has not done this to me before. Simple load, one crate Washington State to Colorado. Freight charges $933. We're currently using OmegaTMS to manage a handful of carriers, ABF, SAIA, etc, etc, but the software is terrible outside of it's core function. It's obviously owned and tied to ABF/Arc Best and favors their brokerage, but it doesn't output, export, or give data to anything in a meaningful way. You can't export shipment tracking to Shopify, our ERP, etc. With that said, what are you guys using right now? Seems like there was an acquisition/consolidation frenzy recently so wondering what is best right now.

Right now I'm using Omega TMS provided by Arcbest (ABF Freight) and I like it for what I need it for, which is running a freight rate across multiple carriers at one time. These shipments are typically 1, 2 or 3 pallets but some can be 8 to 12 and occasionally full truck loads. Class, NMFC and Commodity fields are needed. Once I choose a carrier I'm basically done with Omega TMS program because my company has started making me use a program called Latitude - Manifest & Shipping System that is run by a company called Pathguide. I own a 3PL and recently got setup with pretty decent discounts. 5 of the past 6 shipments have been overbilled with untrue accessorials. I reached out to our rep to dispute but am still waiting to hear back. I haven’t had these issues with RoadRunner/ABF. Has anyone else experienced this?

Any idea how long it takes for the customers letters to arrive in Sydney . I have a shipment of cigars that has its status as "Customs Transit / Held In Customs" since 26-Apr. Wondering when to contact ABF and how to contact them. Haven't received a letter as yet.

I’ve reached out to our shipper (ABF) and am awaiting a response. I just figured I’d ask Reddit. We ship our products via freight. Trucks will come and pickup the heavy pallets (1000-1200lbs each) and load them using their lift-gate since we don’t have a dock or forklift. This last shipment scared me a bit. The driver loaded the pallet partially off the end of the lift-gate and it literally teetered and almost tumbled off. This really made me wonder if a shipment is damaged on pickup, who’s responsible? I work with several customers who are custom furniture and custom non-structural home finishes (custom doors, window frames, cabinets ect). Looking for domestic LTL carriers who can handle oversized shipments and can do driver assist on delivery, many times gets delivered to residential customers. Example demensions could be: 106 Long x 48 Wide x 82 Height (inches) Weight: 1,830 LBS I have relationships with all the larger carriers (FedEx, SEFL, Estes, ABF, SAIA) looking for regional or semi-regional carriers or anyone who can assist with these types of shipments.
